Welcome to the Bichoutskaia Group Home Page.

Bichoutskaia and Besley groups.
November 2011, Wollaton Park, Nottingham.
The Computational Nanoscience Group at Nottingham, headed by Dr. Elena Bichoutskaia, is a home to theoretical and computational scientists who are interested in nanoscale phenomena. We work on the development of modelling approaches to a wide range of problems in condensed matter and materials science. Focus of our current research is on the behaviour, properties and manipulation of carbon nanomaterials and low dimensional systems.
NEW!! COMPUTATIONAL NANOSCIENCE book is out now.
We are part of Physical and Theoretical Chemistry Division.
We also interact with
the Nottingham Nanotechnology and Nanoscience Centre.
We encourage applications from students wishing to study for a PhD degree. If you are interested in computational chemistry and nanoscience, motivated and have a strong background in chemistry, physics and/or maths, we hope to hear from you.
